WandVac System
This custom mailer was sent to more than 20 influencers and editors, with each package tailored to the recipient to promote the launch of a new Shark cordless vacuum.
WandVac Go
Shark is known for its maximalist approach to retail packaging. For this project, the CEO challenged the team to do the opposite: “Design me a package I’ve always told you not to make—something B&O inspired.” The result was a sleek, minimalist design.
EvoPower: Japanese Star Wars Edition
For a Disney/Shark collaboration on the Shark WandVac cordless hand vacuum, I designed several Star Wars: The Force Awakens–themed packaging concepts that showcased design variation as well as budget-minded options. Disney selected the final designs to go to market, complete with coordinating inserts.
Cyclone Handvac
Since this was Shark’s first cordless hand vacuum with two cyclones—designed to outperform the best-selling hand vac at the time—I aimed for a more technical, performance-focused look.
Japan Cordless
As the dedicated creative supporting Shark’s Japan market prior to its global expansion,, I shaped the brand identity for early cordless vacuums—helping them connect with Japanese consumers through packaging that spoke to reliability, ease, and innovation.
Simba 2.0
In 2018, as Shark developed its second-generation cordless stick vacuum, the Head of Industrial Design asked me to create a concept package to help reinforce the new product’s ID and CMF.
StickPod
I applied the same physical packaging structure from the Simba 2.0 concept, but for this product I aimed for a more contemporary, heavy-duty look—contrasting with the refined elegance of the Simba 2.0 design.
Flex Rocket
For Shark’s entry into the cordless stick vacuum market, I developed the EB1 packaging along with POP concepts and product branding for its battery technology.
2017 NPD
In 2017, I developed mood boards and packaging concepts to define the positioning for three new SKUs—a corded upright, a corded stick, and a cordless stick. These designs marked my first move away from Shark’s traditional maximalist style, establishing distinct visual identities for each product.
Snap
The VP of Creative asked me to explore a new packaging concept for the Shark WandVac System. Built around the idea of speed and simplicity, we played with the notion that cleaning with this product could be done in a "snap".
